The annual 1940's weekend which is very popular and well patronised. Many people wear military or personal clothing of the war years. Military vehicles and other equipment is on show.

A two week visit to Slovenia, plus a few hours in Villach, Austria. Includes a visit to Ljubljana Central Workshops.

As it is a very long time since I visited East Anglia, I took a train to Ely via Peterborough. These pictures are the result.

I heard that two class 37's on a Network Rail test train were to pass Lincoln, so decided to hop on the train and take a look. A couple of hours provided these pictures.

A visit to Marholm, North of Peterborough, where a footbridge gives good views in both directions.

NVR Steam Gala, photographed at Orton Mere, featured two LNER Apple Green Locomotives.

The £55m remodelling of Lincoln trackwork and signalling has started with a 3 week blockade. Images of various operations will be shown here.

One of the busiest freight train watching spots in the UK. here is a selection of trains seen.

A fascinating tour around the Corus Steelworks, Scunthorpe by members of DEMU forum, using an 02 shunter and two brake vans. Collection includes a few shots at Scunthorpe station and Doncaster after the tour.

The four saturdays in January saw a number of freight workings diverted from the ECML to the 'Joint' between Doncaster and Peterborough. Some of these are pictured at Ruskington. A few pictures from North Muskham on the ECML, also Swinderby on the Newark-Lincoln line, and a few shots at Nottingham.

Trains at Ruskington include 153's, class 33 with inspection saloon and 66's on the leaf-buster! Various freight and passenger trains at Doncaster including classes 67, 47 and 31 on charters.

The locomotives in use provided a glimpse back to the steamy days of the 1950's.

A train watching day on one of the trips organised by ADL. Places visited were Oostende, Merelbeke, Liege Guillemins, Namur, Ronet depot, Brussels Midi, Antwerpen Berchem and Antwerpen Oost.

A trip by minibus via the Channel Tunnel to Gent on an extremely hot day!

Some scanned images of my Belgian Model Railway during exhibitions at Spalding, Great Yarmouth and Boston in 1996 and 1997.

The layout was designed for exhibition use and had a double track electrified main line at low level to ensure there were plenty of trains running. At the upper level was an industrial complex with various industries providing varied traffic. The centrepiece was a working stone/ballast loader.
